Our database populates device attributes directly from verified manufacturer datasheets, official regulatory submissions, and technical component registries.

Concurrently, our systems extract real-time cash selling prices and authentic product imagery straight from retail platforms — primarily Amazon India and Flipkart. We rely exclusively on published technical specifications, ensuring we never duplicate or republish proprietary test results from other testing labs.

2. Calibrated AI grading anchored strictly in hardware reality

Verified specifications and live cash prices are assessed by our specialized AI evaluation model, tuned specifically to evaluate electronics with an engineer’s skepticism.

Most consumer electronics score within a realistic 65–88 bell curve. A score of 90 or greater is strictly guarded, awarded only to category-defining devices that demonstrate exceptional thermal management, longevity, power efficiency, and price-to-performance balance.

Whenever particular technical attributes cannot be independently corroborated against verified manufacturer data, the model flags them as unconfirmed rather than fabricating guesses.

3. Actionable verdicts backed by explicit technical reasoning

A simple number never tells the whole story. Every product on PricePe receives an explicit bottom-line verdict: BUY, WAIT, or AVOID.

Each report details verified hardware strengths, tangible compromises, clear buyer suitability profiles ("Who should buy" vs. "Who should look elsewhere"), and immediate category alternatives.

Verdict Standard: Every verdict reflects the device’s worth at its present cash selling price. We never speculate on future promotional discounts. A "WAIT" verdict is triggered solely by concrete product lifecycle events — such as an officially scheduled model successor, an unresolved manufacturing batch flaw awaiting hardware revision, or imminent component phase-out.

4. Zero paid placement — total editorial separation

Hardware brands cannot purchase score increases, sponsor favorable verdicts, or alter algorithmic evaluations. Our evaluations are programmatic and fully immune to commercial influence.

PricePe sustains its operations exclusively through standard merchant affiliate referral commissions (via Amazon Associates and Cuelinks) when shoppers choose to purchase via store links. This commission introduces zero cost to the buyer and has no impact on our computational scoring.

A gadget’s real-world value changes constantly as newer hardware launches and market prices shift.

Prices on PricePe update continuously from live merchant channels. When retail prices drop, software updates fix launch bugs, or newer competitors launch, listings are rescored so ratings reflect today’s market reality rather than launch-day excitement.
